Account Executive

Account Executives (AEs) are responsible for managing the end-to-end sales process and driving revenue. This includes meeting with prospects, handling inbound leads, following up on outbound leads, and keeping everything recorded in Salesforce.

Generally, AEs at Climate Benefits have a quota of $500,000 in new annual recurring revenue (ARR) each year. This comes out to about $3,500 in new monthly recurring revenue (MRR) per month. The key metric to measure success is new ARR brought in each month. Additionally, AEs are given 10% commission on all sales that they close.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop prospect lists, qualify leads, and follow up with prospects via phone and email.
  2. Proactively pursue new business opportunities and manage pipelines.
  3. Convert leads to become customers and handoff relationships to Customer Success Managers.
  4. Execute on sales strategy, iterate on pricing language, and build repeatable systems to close customers faster.
  5. Build material for the rest of the sales team: decks, objection handling, email templates, etc.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional Strength: We hire based on exceptional strength, rather than lack of weakness. Although degrees are nice, they aren’t required. We focus on skills and mindset. Tell us why you’re the best at what you do.

  • Builders: We believe in the compounding effects of SaaS company building. We’re looking for people who default to execution and have a build-first mentality. Experience with Product Led Growth is a plus for all roles.
